London West End Musical bass player and session bassist Oliver Buxton is new EBS Artist. Here's his comments on his new rig: "I heard about the Micro Bass II from fellow EBS artist, John Harvey. I was really impressed with how versatile it was and how authentic it sounded. There's lots of cool little features like a comprehensive EQ and an effects loop, which is really useful! All this makes for a fantastic (and more compact) alternative to my live rig - the TD660 head with the 410 Proline cab. This rig produces pure tone with power and punch. I've been searching for this sound for a while and to finally have it in my possession feels incredible! It's loud too."

NEW EBS ARTIS: CHRIS 'FATTY' HARGREAVES - DUBSTEP BASS MASTER
We are happy to introduce Chris 'Fatty' Hargreaves as new EBS Artist. He is a london based bass player who plays within the dubstep scene and is known for producing in a live format the highly produced wobble that is found on electronic records. He has toured the world and recorded with Submotion Orchestra, True Tiger, Alex Clare and continues to work with the grime scene in London.
Chris uses the EBS Reidmar head and here's what he say's about it:" I've blown up many amps in my time as I'm known for smashing loud synths through my rigs and to be honest i was a little skeptical when reading about the Reidmar's stats. But OH MY GOD that thing kicks out the wave forms like theres no tomorrow!
It goes everywhere with me now! Sounds incredible!"
We are happy to introduce up-and-coming progressive metal bassist Chris Tilley of THE CONTORTIONIST as new EBS Artist. The Indiana based prog-metal alchemists conjure the kinetic texture of Rush, the cinematic musicality of Dream Theater, the heavy but heady metallic might of jazzy death wizards Cynic and the studied experimental precision of Between The Buried And Me while simultaneously fashioning an overall sound uniquely their own. The band has toured with the likes of Periphery and All Shall Perish. Check out the band's latest album Intrinsic now!
EBS Artist Eddy Khaimovich is working hard in the NYC area. One of his latest involvements include appearing on a John Lennon tribute album, the John Lennon Bermuda Tribute 2012 CD by Ride The Wave record label. It features Eddy Khaimovich on the track Revolution by the Beatles, with Bailey Outerbridge, that was re-imagined, arranged and produced by Haim Cotton, the acclaimed pianist/composer/producer. On this tour both bassist and EBS Artist Jonas Reingold and keyboard wizard Tomas Bodin will be using EBS Amps, Cabinets and pedals.
Here's a statement from Tomas from the rehearsals about EBS and Keyboards: What I discovered was that the EBS Bass Amps are awesome as keyboard amps! As a keyboarder you will need a lot of power to drive the massive transients from a moog or a churchorgan sound. Right now I´m reheasing with 2 Reidmar Amps and 2, 212 cabinets. A wet dream!!

EBS Artists added in Russia, Norway, Denmark and Sweden...
EBS is spreading out over the world as well as continue building our base in Scandinavia! This month we are happy to introduce the following new EBS Artists:
New EBS Artist in Russia is Vtali Demidenco from metal band Tracktor Bowling! This is a quality metal act with female vocalist that do well in Russia, and should appeal to international fans too, although lyrics are in Russian. Check them out at: www.tracktorbowling.ru
Norwegian bass player Lewi Bergrud is new EBS Artist! Lewi is one of the most sought after session bass players in Norway, and the household bass player for the big summershow Urbane Totninger, bass player of Norwegian Spelemannspris (the Norwegian 'Grammy') winners NARUM, the band 7 Days and A Miracle, with acclaimed singer Inger Lise Rypdal
and this fall he's going to join one of Norway's biggest artists Kurt Nielsen on tour!
KAMPFAR's Jon Bakker is new EBS Artist! The band is among the classic Norwegian black metal acts that lay the foundations to this acclaimed scene, and with their latest release "Mare" they have incorporated new ideas like isolated keyboard passages and sprechgesang consort with icy riffs, dark melodies, and oppressive drums while keeping their identity as one of the masters of Scandinavian black metal! Jon uses the EBS Reidmar, since the band do a lot of fly in gigs and need a rig that is easy to travel with - not depending to the amps offered by the house. The Reidmar is a perfect way to secure a quality tone, since it just not only works as a great amp, but has a professional XLR-out as well, and can be run even without a speaker load. www.kampfar.com
From Denmark, we are happy to present Carsten Pedersen as new EBS Artist. Carsten is a session bass player and teacher based in Copenhagen. Hir credits include playing with Kings of Rock - a cover rock show feat members of Mercyful Fate. Touring with Blink (with more than 400.000 albums sold), session work with Sarah (winner of Danish X-factor 2011), as well as on a coming album with Shades and Martin (Rene Shades from Pretty Maids) featuring Jimmy Z from Rod Stewarts band and Mickey Curry (Bryan Adams).
Finally, from the home of EBS, Sweden, we are happy to introduce Nisse Holm from The Ryot as new EBS Artist! The Ryot is a new heavy rock band offering music based on solid riffs and epic melodies. Taken under the wings of In Flames guitarist Björn Gelotte and In Flames producer Roberto Laghi the band is coming up strong and fast on the Swedish rock scene.

Check out more about Nic at www.nicolaangileri.com
New Album Featuring EBS Artist and Porcupine Tree Bassist Colin Edwin
EBS Artist Colin Edwin, from UK progressive rock masters Porcupine Tree is featured in a new instrumental projcet called Metallic Taste Of Blood. The magazine Prog captured the music pretty good with this review:
“Metallic Taste Of Blood brings together arch six-string experimentalist Eraldo Bernocchi with Porcupine Tree bassist Colin Edwin, percussive noise soldier Balazs Pandi and keyboardist and avant-jazz alumni Jamie Saft. An intriguing collaboration in theory, and even more mind-boggling in practice. It’s a dark and maze-like scramble through ever-changing instrumental soundscapes” (Prog)
We are proud to announce Sigur Rós bass player Georg 'Goggi' Holm and vocalist/guitarist Jón þor 'Jónsi' Birgisson as new EBS Pedal Artists!
The band has a huge following, exceeding 1 million fans on Facebook, and considered a major influence on the modern postrock and pop scene. After a couple years of silence, they are now back with the brand new album Valtari to be released at the end of May and a massive World Tour kicking off in the summer. We are very happy and proud to work with them!
Here's a few comments from Goggi about the EBS pedals he's using:
EBS OctaBass: "I've been using this since gen1 and it's an essential part of my sound."
MultiDrive: "This Drive pedal is a big part of my sound and I don't do a gig without it and there are songs that I wouldn't be able to do without this pedal."
Valve Drive: "I've never been as impressed with any pedal."
After the years with the incredible band Burst (that called it quit in the fall of 2009), EBS Artist Jesper Liveröd now return with his former band, Grind Core legends NASUM, for a final farewell tour in 2012!
When NASUM's former lead singer Mieszko tragically passed away in the big tsunami in Thailand 2004 it was the end of NASUM as well. 2012 would have been a 20th Anniversary of the band, so in honor of their lost bandmate, and for their fans, they now rejoin for a tour of selected dates to say thank you and farewell to their fans and friends and in honor of Mieszko.
Check out the tour dates, a statement about the tour etc here: http://www.nasum.com/

This summer they will do a great selection of festivals, including Download at Donington Park in UK, and Sweden's biggest festival Peace & Love in Borlänge. We are proud to present Opeth's bass man, Martin Mendez as new EBS Pedal Artist. Representing Sweden on the international scene in the best possible way, Opeth has earned their position as one of the leading bands on today's progressive metal and rock scene. It's about time we team up with our fellow Swede's!
Martin will incorporate EBS pedals in his current tour rig for the coming up US tour and Worldwide summer festivals. His new gear include EBS ValveDrive, DynaVerb, MultiDrive and MetalDrive for optional distortion.
Sweden's Straight Frank got their debut album out through Sony Germany in January, collecting rave reviews among the press. The band impress with a solid production and a bunch of great songs, not to expect from any debuting band. But scratch on the surface, and you'll find some explanation...
The members of Straight Frank are not new in the game, the drummer previously hit the drums behind Prime Sth, that had some success in the US a few years back, while bass player Henrik Edenhed has a successful career as producer and mixing engineer, producing among others Swedish successful bands Lambretta and Dead By April, as well as mixing recordings with renowned artists such as Robyn, Jordin Sparks, Titiyo and Laleh, only to mention a few. We are happy to have Henrik onboard as EBS Artist - and recommend anyone that appreciate the music of Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden and similar to go check out this band without further delay at www.straightfrank.com!
Henrik play EBS Classic 450 amps and ClassicLine 810 cabinets, along with EBS Black Label Pedals as well as EBS Stainless Steel Strings.

New Lamb Of God album recorded with EBS pedals!
The new album "Resolution" from US metal band Lamb Of God entered the Billboard Album list last week at no 3!
According to bass player John Campbell, he brought his EBS pedals to the studio and ended up using the MultiComp on ALL tracks through out the album, as well as the DPhaser on the songs "the Number Six" and "King Me".
This was confirmed by several times Grammy nominated producer Josh Wilbur, who expressed his fascination over these pedals and claimed the MultiComp had a big impact on the bass sound on this record, and also revealed he had recieved many comments about the great bass sound!
The album debuted on No 3 on Billboard's Album list, No 2 in Canada, and have recieved mentions in the press as a likely candidate for the best metal album of the year when it's time to round up 2012.

When the first news about the death of legendary guitarist Gary Moore reached us last week, we could not believe it was true. One of the greatest guitarist of all times has left us way too early at the age of 58. Gary Moore was one of the first major guitarists to discover the benefits of using EBS bass effects with guitar, and we had the privilege to support what was becoming his last tour with bass amps. "Sitting on the stage watching Gary and the band play all those classic songs from his long and successful career less than a year ago at the Sweden Rock Festival will be a life-lasting memory", comments EBS Artist Relations Manager Ralf Bjurbo. Our thoughts goes to Garys family, the band and crew.

Interview with EBS Pedal Artist Will Davies from Attack! Attack! UK
Will Davies from UK band Attack! Attack! was interviewed lately by Tonefactor.com , heres what will said about his EBS pedals: "From the bass I’m running into a selection of EBS effects pedals. I’m using the Multi Comp, Octabass, Valve Drive and Wah 1. I find these pedals really versatile and used in various combinations can create so many tones and sounds from just the four pedals, it’s amazing! I’m using the Valve drive as a sort of gnarlier amp tone for some of the heavier songs and have the compressor running on all the time. The octaver goes crazily low and tracks really well. I use it on lowest setting with the valve drive and the wah with the filter on and I get this awesome sub synth bass tone, not far off some kind of cool dub step bass sound."

Guitarists on EBS Pedals! John Wesley and Jeff Pevar
Since the update to true bypass on EBS Black Label Pedals, a lot of guitarists have discovered the benefits of using EBS pedals. Two of these are now introduced as new EBS Pedal Artists.
John Wesley might be best known to the bigger audience as the "fifth" member of Porcupine Tree, as touring guitarist and back up singer alongside official guitarist/vocalist Steven Wilson. Everyone that has experienced the band live, or on DVD can tell John is a great musician with a great tone. He is also writing and releasing his own music as well as doing clinics for PRS guitars, where he got introduced to using EBS pedals for guitar by another PRS and EBS Pedal Artist, Timbaland's Mike Scott. Here's what John says after his first encounter with EBS pedals: "The BassIQ is amazing and the DynaVerb is the best reverb pedal I have ever used!"
Equally impressed was guitarist Jeff Pevar, currently on tour with the This Is It band on a tribute to Michael Jackson tour. His previous work include touring with Crosby, Stills & Nash, Marc Cohn and Joe Cocker, to mention a few. Here's what Jeff says: ”The EBS Multicomp is my favorite compressor out there, and I also love the EBS distortion pedals!”
We are planning for a release of the EBS Guitar Zone - a blog focusing on using EBS pedals with guitar, and both John and Jeff will contribute to that, as well as other EBS Pedal Artists and guitarists. So, stay tuned for that!

New EBS Artist: Julian from aVid*!
aVid* bassplayer Julian is now armed with EBS. The four German guys have shared the stage with acts like the Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Cornell.
New album coming soon!
It is with great sadness we recieved the news that our friend and long time EBS Artist Marcel Jacob passed away on July 21, at the age of 45. Marcel was a fantastic bass player and musician that helped put Swedish hard rock and metal on the map with his early commitment as bass player for Yngwie Malmsteen in the 80’s (as well as a short period with Europe). In 1988 Marcel formed the band Talisman along with his friend and singer Jeff Scott Soto. Talisman became his main gig for his last 20 years – saluted with a big Anniversary gig at the Sweden Rock Festival 2007. Marcel also performed as a solo bass player at the EBS Bass n Drum Days, a yearly event that was arranged between 2001 – 2007. Our thoughts goes to Marcel Jacob’s family and close friends.
